Chapter 2: Preparations on Earth

Elon Mars sat in his modest office, surrounded by stacks of documents, plans, and prototypes. Through the large window, he could see the bustling city shimmering under the burning sun. The state of the Earth was dire; the air was heavy and the streets were filled with dissatisfied people. Hunger, unrest, and the omnipresent control of the Cabal had pushed humanity to its limits.

As Elon went through his notes, he thought about the coming months. The Marstopia mission was his life’s work. It was not just a journey to Mars but a way out for humanity from the misery that had gripped Earth. He knew that the preparations on Earth were just as important as the actual journey. Every step had to be perfectly planned and executed to ensure survival on Mars.

In a corner of his office hung a photo of Claire, his long-time love. Her eyes sparkled in the picture, and a gentle smile played on her lips. Claire was not just his partner but also his greatest supporter. She had always been by his side through the highs and lows of his life. But now, as the mission approached, the inevitable farewell loomed. The love for Claire was one of the few things that kept him human amidst the immense responsibility he carried.

Elon glanced at the clock. In a few minutes, the team for today’s meeting would arrive. It was about the final selection of the astronauts who would accompany him on the journey. Each of them was an extraordinary person, marked by ambition and willpower, ready to achieve the impossible.

As the door opened and his team members entered, Elon straightened up. His gaze was determined, but deep in his eyes lay a hint of unease. The pressure on him was immense. He had to ensure not only the technical and logistical preparations but also the moral and emotional strength of his team.

“Sit down,” he said in a calm voice. “We have a lot to discuss.”

During the meeting, Elon spoke about the latest progress and challenges. But his thoughts kept wandering to the people he would leave behind—his family, his friends, Claire. He remembered the last night with Claire, as she gently stroked his cheek and said, “I believe in you, Elon. You will achieve great things.” Her words gave him strength, but the thought of leaving her tore his heart apart.

After the meeting, Elon remained alone in the room. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. In these quiet moments, he often felt watched, as if an invisible presence was watching over him. For some time, he had felt that his abilities and knowledge went beyond the human. But he spoke to no one about it. This strange assurance that pervaded him was his secret promise that his mission would not fail.

Suddenly, his communication device vibrated. An encrypted message appeared on the screen: “We are watching you. Stay strong. Your mission is our mission.” A cold shiver ran down Elon’s spine. Whoever had sent this message knew about his secret connection to a higher power.

Elon stood up and looked out at the distant city. The pressure he felt was tangible, but so was his determination. The Earth might be in ruins, but as long as he breathed, he would fight for the future of humanity. He would continue the preparations with the precision and dedication of an artist, with love and farewell in his heart and the knowledge that a higher power watched over him.

In these quiet moments, Elon Mars found the strength to carry on, driven by the hope that one day humanity would find a new home among the stars.
